Two suspected of AC theft arrested | Crime
Kennett police arrested two people accused of stealing an air conditioning unit and trying to sell it for scrap at a local salvage yard.
According to a news release from Lt. Tim Trowbridge, public information officer for KPD, on Tuesday officers were called to Century 21 Real Estate, 713 First St., regarding the theft of an air conditioning unit from behind the business.
Officers photographed the scene and collected several pieces of evidence.
Within minutes, Trowbridge said investigators began looking for two suspects believed to be involved in the crime.
Officers found the pair at Wilson’s Salvage, 2000 Independence, along with the scrapped AC unit.
The suspects, who have not been identified, were taken to the Kennett Police Department.

Also on Tuesday, Kennett police made the following arrests:
At 7:16 p.m. officers arrested William A. Canter, 33, of Kennett on two outstanding City of Kennett warrants for driving while revoked and possession of marijuana. He was also arrested on an outstanding Dunklin County warrant for non-support. He is being held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on a $779.50 cash-only bond.
At 11:05 p.m. police arrested Angela F. Snider, 29, of Kennett on an outstanding felony Dunklin County warrant for first degree burglary. Snider is being held in the Dunklin County Justice Center on a $35,000 bond.
