Man seriously injured in crash charged with DWI | Crime
A Dexter man was charged with multiple offenses, including driving while intoxicated, after his car slammed into a tree Monday evening.
Jamie D. Adams, 38, was traveling south on County Road 625, two miles south of Dexter, when he lost control of his 2000 Mercury Mystique on a curve.
Corporal R.D. Owens of the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the car then left the roadway and struck a tree.
Adams, who was not wearing a seat belt, was airlifted to the Elvis Presley Trauma Center (The MED) in Memphis with serious injuries.
According to the MSHP arrest report, Adams was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving causing an accident, driving while suspended and no seat belt.
