Woman pleads guilty to stealing from nursing home patients | Crime
A Sikeston woman has admitted she stole money from residents at the nursing home where she worked.
According to Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster, Pamela Sue Smith pleaded guilty to two felony counts of stealing from a resident trust account at the Miner Nursing Home in Sikeston, where she worked as a bookkeeper.
Smith was ordered to repay more than $37,000 and was sentenced by the Scott County Circuit Court to five years on each count, to be served concurrently.
The sentence was suspended on the condition that Smith successfully completes probation.
