Man arrested following investigation by police, ATF | Crime
A lengthy joint investigation by several law enforcement agencies and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) ended with one man’s arrest.
Early Tuesday morning, agents with the ATF, Bootheel Drug Task Force, Pemiscot County Sheriff’s Department and the Kennett and Steele Police Departments executed federal search warrants on houses on McCollum and Smith Streets in Steele.
According to Steele Police Chief Billy Joe Stanfield, a 33-year-old unidentified man was arrested on drug charges.
He said officers also recovered and confiscated several suspected stolen items and a handgun.
Chief Stanfield says the investigations are continuing and more arrests are expected.
