Man faces charges following crash | Crime
First, he totaled his car. Then police charged him.
Thomas W. Maple, 36, of Cardwell faces numerous charges, including driving while intoxicated, after the Missouri State Highway Patrol said he crashed his car.
It happened at 7:50 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 412, one mile east of Cardwell in Dunklin County.
According to Trooper R. L. Vannada’s report, Maple was westbound when his 2004 Ford Crown Victoria ran off the road and overturned. The car was totaled.
Maple, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould with moderate injuries.
Later he was charged with driving while intoxicated (felony), failing to drive on the right half of the roadway-resulting in an accident, driving while revoked, no seat belt and no insurance.
