St. Louis Brass to perform free concert | Arts & Culture

The Friends of Music will continue its 2011-2012 concert series with the St. Louis Brass Quartet performing Saturday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Kennett High School Auditorium, 1400 W. Washington St.
The group was formed in 1964 by members of the St. Louis Symphony. Since then they have performed more than 3,000 engagements throughout the United States and around the world.
The Kennett program will include music by Michael Praetorius, Astor Piazzola and a tribute to Louis Armstrong.
The St. Louis Brass will also be joined by 8 local artists, including 5 Kennett High School musicians, for several compositions including selections from G.W.E. Friedrich's "American Brass Band Journal."
The public is cordially invited to attend this free concert.
