Crash sends two teens to hospital | News

Two Bootheel teens were hospitalized Wednesday following a late-night car crash.
The crash happened at 11:50 p.m. on Missouri Route 74, two miles south of Cape Girardeau.
According to Trooper J. A. Lacey of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Ethan O’Conner, 22, of Cape Girardeau was eastbound when his 2005 Dodge Ram pickup truck ran off the road and overturned.
Amber M. Brown, 17, and Jasmine L. Pyles, 16, both of Dexter were taken by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center. Brown reportedly had moderate injuries. Pyles was seriously injured.
O’Conner and Brandon L. Younger, 22, of Advance received minor injuries. Both refused medical treatment.
According to Trooper Lacey, none of the four was wearing a seat belt.
