Motorcycle crash sends Kennett man to hospital | News

Steve E. Atwill, 68, of Kennett was injured Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into a highway sign.

The crash happened at approximately 1:45 p.m. on State Highway 235, one mile south of Yellville, according to Cpl. Matthew Sheley of the Arkansas State Police.

Atwill was northbound when he lost control of his 2006 BMW motorcycle on a curve.  The bike veered off the side of the road then struck a highway sign before coming to a rest in a barbed wire fence.

Atwill was taken to the Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home.
