Two people were seriously injured Wednesday night when their pickup truck slammed into a tree.
The crash happened at 7:20 p.m. on Cypress Point Lane, two miles west of Dexter.
According to Trooper M. B. Foster, 39-year-old Christopher C. Boldreghini of Dexter was southbound when he lost control of his 2001 GMC truck and ran off the road. The truck then drove into a ditch and hit a tree.
Boldreghini and his passenger, 53-year-old Guadalupe Menoz of Dexter, were both air-lifted to St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with serious injuries.
According to Trooper Foster’s report, neither Boldreghini nor Menoz was wearing a seat belt.
