High winds blamed for big rig crash
A Dexter man was hospitalized Tuesday night after strong winds blew over his tractor-trailer rig.
The crash happened on Missouri State Highway 25, one mile north of Delta in Cape Girardeau County.
According to Trooper R. W. Eakins of the Highway Patrol, 46-year-old Robert E. Wyatt was southbound when high winds from a passing storm blew over his 1997 International tractor-trailer.
Wyatt, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Cape Girardeau with moderate injuries.
