Qdoba, Everyday Chef coming to Jonesboro

Haag Brown Commercial announced Friday it has closed on a deal to bring a new restaurant and store to Jonesboro.

Qdoba Mexican Grill and The Everyday Chef will be located on Parkwood Drive facing Sissy's Log Cabin and Panera Bread, according to a news release from Haag Brown Commercial.

Nix Construction has already begun site work and completion is expected in late summer.

Looking for a job?  Then McDonald’s is looking for you.

McDonald’s owner-operators throughout Your Region 8 will be hosting a hiring day Wednesday, July 18.

They are expected to hire as many as 1,000 new workers in Northeast Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, west Tennessee, north Mississippi and southwest Kentucky.

Jobs available include seasonal, full-time and part-time positions.

In 1940 the first Dairy Queen opened its doors in Joliet, Illinois.

Today there are more than 5,800 DQs around the world.

Now you can add one more--Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Although it's been open for more than a month, the restaurant held its official ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday morning.

It's the third year Applebee's has saluted our nation's military.  Last year the national chain served 1,024,000 free meals.  This year they hope to serve more than 2 million veterans.

Arby's ordered to pay back wages

 

 

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Federal officials say more than 700 Arby's workers in five states are to receive nearly $57,000 in back wages.

The U.S. Labor Department announced Tuesday that Tulsa-based United States Beef Corp. has agreed to make the payment to 759 current and former Arby's workers.

The affected restaurants are in Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.
